Fortunately, health has once again become a much higher priority in today's society: many people are paying more attention to their diet, there is a wide range of alternative foods available, and personal fitness has also come back into focus. Standards have risen in occupational safety and workplace equipment, whether in the form of height-adjustable desks, ergonomic chairs or lighting with daylight lamps. With offers such as the Wellpass, companies contribute to the costs of sports activities undertaken by their employees. As a result, work, life, sport and health are once again growing closer together.
Regular exercise provides a good physical balance to daily work, reduces stress and strengthens the immune system and overall health. Together with colleagues, exercise strengthens team cohesion and promotes values such as motivation and ambition.
The topic of health and fitness offers great potential for new products and solutions and a host of exciting employers in Germany.
The development process for fitness and medical products using the human-centred design process also requires a strong focus on usability and the planning and documentation of requirements and testing, and combines many interdisciplinary skills. These areas are optimally covered at BUSSE by its four specialist departments.

Hamberger - EKG-Seat
Connectivity and smartness play a major role in the healthcare sector: Hamberger Sanitary has developed a toilet seat that performs a medical ECG, helping to detect cardiovascular diseases at an early stage. At BUSSE, we developed the entire app and user interface and tested it in the HFU usability lab together with students and professors.

The founder, Dr Christian Behrendt, a specialist in orthopaedics, trauma surgery and spinal surgery, had his product idea developed into a series by us: an office chair that can be used in various configurations and supports a wide range of working postures as well as stretching.
