UI/UX Design
UI/UX Design
We are specialists in the development of hardware and software-based user interfaces for digital and analog products - from the initial idea to the final product.
Why is good UX/UI design important?
An intuitive and user-friendly HMI helps to avoid errors, make processes more efficient and increase safety. It also ensures simple operation and fewer errors by users. It increases customer satisfaction, reduces support costs and offers a competitive advantage. A well thought-out design makes products more user-friendly and successful.
Together to success - with our experience we take your UI/UX project to the next level! Have we piqued your interest?
Our design process
We develop and design user interfaces according to the human-centered design process, which places the user at the heart of a development, but also takes hardware-side ergonomic guidelines and the appearance of your company into account. This enables us to design all interfaces of a product - from the hardware-side button, gripping and service areas to touch and software interaction. We call this holistic and unique approach UX720°.
Our interface designers and usability experts work closely with your application experts to develop sophisticated user interfaces that combine creative design, intuitive user guidance (usability) and forward-looking trends.
We evaluate the results together after each iteration loop. The design phase is only started with a tested concept in order to save development costs later on.

UX 720° - User interfaces taken to the next level
The term "user interface" is often used solely to refer to the graphical representation of software. However, at BUSSE, we take a holistic approach—considering everything from software and graphical design to physical controls, their design, and placement.
With this comprehensive approach, we ensure that all elements are perfectly aligned with usability, environment, and ergonomics.
Through our holistic UX720° approach, we first analyze the device and its usage contexts as a whole before developing the user interface. This ensures a seamless integration of all touchpoints, perfectly aligning hardware and software to enable optimal interaction.

Operator HMI
At BUSSE, we specialise in the development of modern and intuitive operator HMIs by combining the expertise of our industrial designers and UI/UX designers in one team.
An operator HMI (human-machine interface) is a user interface that enables an operator to interact with a vehicle, machine, facility or system.
The more complex and extensive the functions are, the more important it is that operation is as intuitive and ergonomic as possible, familiarisation time is kept to a minimum and operating errors are kept to a minimum.

“User-centered development” - We are an auditor for the UIG
This year we became a member of UIG e.V. (Usability in Germany), which promotes the integration of user-centred development in organizations.
The “User-centered development” seal was created specifically for this purpose. The seal is intended to help medium-sized companies to obtain visible proof of the successful establishment of a user-centered development process. And we at BUSSE Design+Engineering are an auditor for this seal and enable our customers and interested parties to obtain proof of intuitively operable products.
