MAHA excites Automechanika 2026
Around 4,400 exhibitors from over 80 countries turned Frankfurt am Main into an international meeting place for the automotive aftermarket for five days. In the middle: the largest booth in Hall 8. On approximately 1,300 m² and two levels, MAHA showcased vehicle testing and lifting technology, 14 innovations, and a trade fair concept to experience, try out, and participate.
Getting in is expressly desired
This was particularly evident with MAST 2.0. Nearly 100 planned and spontaneous demo rides made the functional testing of driver assistance systems directly from the vehicle experienceable. The regular appointments for the first three days of the fair were already fully booked three weeks before the start of the fair.
Just a few meters away, MAIA was presented in action - on passenger cars and for the first time on trucks. In addition, the autonomous inspection assistant received an award at the start of the fair: On the first day of the fair, MAIA won the Automechanika Innovation Award 2026 in the category "Smart Workshop & Service Solutions".
Both developments were by far the most discussed future topics at the booth - and much more than just trade fair exhibits. For MAIA, the delivery of the first limited series is planned for the end of 2027, the regular market launch will follow in mid-2028. MAST 2.0 is expected to reach series status for periodic vehicle inspection in 2029. For vehicle manufacturers and applications in testing and development, the current version is already available as a special machine and in use.
But the innovation boulevard continued. With the new hydraulic two-post lift MA STAR H 4.5 with remote control, the full-surface tread depth measurement OmniTread Scan, as well as ActiveBrake Pro for brake testing on vehicles with electronic parking brakes and all-wheel drive, MAHA showed further approaches for future workshop and testing processes. Among the 14 innovations showcased, they are among the developments with particularly concrete market potential.
Trade fair day ends. Conversations don’t.
Even after the trade fair closed, the booth remained lively. On all four evenings of the fair, the exchange continued. On Wednesday alone, more than 200 invited guests were welcomed to the International Evening by MAHA.
It is precisely this dialogue that is also crucial for MAHA when developing new technologies. "In Frankfurt, we deliberately also place concepts on the booth whose paths are not yet fully defined. Because we want to hear from the market what is really needed before we invest millions in industrialization. MAIA and MAST 2.0 show how concrete solutions can emerge from such impulses. Those who only show finished products learn little about what will be in demand in five years," says Dr. Peter Geigle, CEO of the MAHA Group.
Brand development that excites.
We at BUSSE are pleased to be part of this exciting, future-oriented development. In close cooperation with MAHA, visions, studies, and new products are being created that set signs worldwide on this international stage. Enthusiasm for the MAHA brand arises precisely from this continuous work, the high-quality presentation, and maximum customer proximity.
What MAHA and BUSSE take away from the trade fair days are primarily concrete feedback, new impulses, and numerous discussions about what the vehicle inspection of tomorrow needs.
